Games & Recreation

At Benarty View Care Home, we know that fun and laughter are just as important as comfort and care. That’s why we offer a variety of games and recreational activities to suit every interest and ability. From lively group sessions to relaxing pastimes, our programme helps residents stay active, engaged, and connected with one another.

Fun & Social Activities

We believe that recreation should be inclusive and enjoyable for all. Residents at Benarty View Care Home take part in board games, quizzes, and our popular newspaper group, which encourages conversation and shared interests. Knitting clubs and arts and crafts sessions provide creative outlets, while baking together brings the simple pleasure of homemade treats.

Music is also an important part of life here, with a visiting singer once a month and regular lively entertainment. In addition, we host a monthly church service from the local parish, ensuring spiritual needs are met in a warm community setting.

Trips, Outings & Special Events

Our dedicated team also organises plenty of opportunities to get out and about. With our own minibus, residents enjoy weekly outings to the local park at Lochore Meadows and trips around the local area, which often spark wonderful reminiscence for those who have lived nearby.

We’re also proud to take part in a dementia tea dance every fortnight in Dalgety Bay, where residents can enjoy live music, tea, coffee, and dancing in a welcoming atmosphere. Family and friends are always welcome to join in, and many of our activities are shared on Facebook each week so relatives can keep up to date and take part when they wish.
